My job is pretty secure luckily and come February I am getting a little over a $2.00/hr raise. I was actually thinking that would probably cover the truck payment.

As I continued to think about it I started leaning more towards your advice. I don't feel I really NEED a truck at this point and even though I can technically afford it the money would probably be better spent towards things around the house I want or need to do. I can always get one later if the need arises.
