First off, one brand making money (which still has horrific quality scores) isn't going to save the entire ship. There's a reason Sergio keeps pushing for a merger with another automaker.
And hilariously enough, why do you think Ford's suddenly all gung-ho about bringing the Ranger back when just a few years ago, they said nobody would want to buy a midsize truck when you could get a full size? I'm sure it has nothing to do with GM eating their currently non-existent lunch with Colorado/Canyon.
