Within these 14 hours you have 11 hours of driving time available. you must have 10 hours of OFF DUTY/sleeper berth to be able to have another 14 hours available. and you can't have more than 70 hours in 8 days if you reach 70 hours in 8 days you must take 34 hours off I think thats right.

Well, today I am driving a Chevy silverado 1500 with no trailer. My question is, Do I have to abide by the rules stated above, or does the fact that I am driving a pickup truck exempt me from running a log. Could I have driven home without breaking the law. It would have taken me probably 14-15 hours to drive home today? One guy is telling me to come on home, and two others are saying I have to abide by the 11 hour driving, 14 on duty rules.
I have no F'n Idea anymore.
