Alright boys, home after a long day of parties and football.
Personally I think the Gators played like crap, worst game from Tim Tebow in a long time. Here are my thoughts.
1. I hated the play calling. I wanted UF to come out and put on a show at the expense of Kiffin and the Vol's but they played it MORE conservative than even troy.
I expected 5-10 new offensive sets... we showed them
2 new sets. 2!!!! Thats amazing!!! we run the most generic, run the ball up the middle and run short dump passes offense in the world and we still would have scored 30-40 pts had we executed. The longest pass that Tebow even attempted was 14 yards. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . Let that sink in if you have trouble believing that we didn't run our normal 'O' .
This was not a game that the Gators wanted to win by 60 (like I wanted them to), Urban Meyer and our Offensive Coordinator kept on with the same old crap that we did against Troy and Charleston Southern and kept all our creative sets under wraps.
2. We played like crap. Yes we won by double digits, and yes we didn't allow UT a first down in the 2nd half until their final drive (which was assisted by not 1, but 2 horrible calls including the most bizarre no - call intentional grounding of all time) but we turned it over twice and really didn't play to our own standards. Missed tackles, horrible offensive line play, and stupid turnovers will be the focus of practice this next week... We have some ironing to do before we win a championship.
3. Jeff Demps (starting RB), Jermaine Cunningham (Our best DE), Deonte Thompson (Num 1 WR), Joe Haden (num 1 CB), Brandon Spikes (MLB), Aaron Hernandez (TE) all had the flu. All of them played partial time and gave a lot up to back ups.... Shit Tebow ran the ball 20+ times (Including trucking Eric Berry woot woot) because of our lack of Jeff Demps.
4. USC, BYU, (Maybe Texas?
) all dropping from the top 10?!?! CRAZY!!!!! Could be Miami vs. UF in the NC game....
