To replace, and I strongly reccomend you do, please pull your glovebox "door" out by detaching the wind-up string, and pressing in the rubber tabs.

Then open up a black, horizontal door into the HVAC fan system by flicking three tabs on the top of the door...this door provides direct access to the air filter. Take it out...and be shocked. Then replace with a new one.

I'll provide pictures in a little while (it's to dark out right now...) In the meantime, please check your filters...dirty air is...well, dirty!!!

Yes, and you can smell it when it is in need of replacement (well at least I can when I put on my AC). I have my dealer replace my cabin filter every 15K along with the engine air filter.
