hey guys. i have a car question for you.

I got my car back from an oil change today. They put 6 liters of synthetic oil in. I notice that when I accelerate from idle that my oil pressure gauge jumps almost to 500 kpa (the highest reading on the gauge). Once I start going a constant speed (like 40 km/h - 80 km/h) it goes back down to around 250 kpa (the middle reading). If I accelerate again it goes up and then comes back down. If I am on the highway and going 100 km/h - 130 km/h the oil pressure gauge reads about 375 kpa (inbetween middle and top reading).

I had never noticed it doing this before, but I wasn't really looking either.

Is this normal? Shouldn't the oil pressure stay constant for the most part when driving? The oil pressure never drops below around 250 kpa. I don't know if this is from the recent oil change or what? Did they not put enough oil in? Just looking for some insight for you guys that are more "car know" than I.

Thanks.
