Like others have said they are date/status codes for those that ordered their Camaros.
Here's my full timeline for example:
2000 Status - 5/7/16
3000 Status - 5/11/16
3000 Status (TPW 6/13) - 5/17/16
3100 Status - 6/3/16
3400 Status - 6/7/16
3800 Status - 6/16/16 (She Lives!)
4200 Status - 6/17/16
4300 Status - 6/21/16
4800 Status - 6/23/2016
5000 status - 6/28/16
6000 status!!! - 6/29/16
TPW=Target Production Week.
Essentially 3 main date/status for every:
2000: order accepted
3800: order built
6000: customer picked up car
