On this day in 1941, thousands of US servicemen, and not a few civilians, lost their lives during the attacks at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
Although 75 years past, on that day, when many had their futures taken away, the events were set in motion that secured our present day, and the potential for our tomorrows.
Let us not forget the cost of complacency, let us remember the value of preparedness, and let us hope that the lessons of global war never have to be re-learned.
