if it was a actually brand new I think their would have been a big difference for two reasons: 1) the car was fairly rusted (big orange cloud that came up) and 2) the car was probably covered in bondo to cover rust holes and dents with a fresh coat of paint

as I just said the car was most likely not a very good condition car
