So far, I've only owned one myself. But I bought it new (to order) and kept it for 33 years and 175,000 miles or so.
1979 Malibu, 305/4-barrel, 4-speed when new . . . 355/EFI/5M in its last iteration. Fun car, just realized that it's only been gone a little over four years.
I learned to drive on and got to use the 1956(?) 2-door Chevy that was my Mom's car. Not legally mine but mostly mine on any miles-driven basis.
