First off let me start by saying I only mean this discussion in the most respectful of ways. I also checked the rules, and while this isn't politics or religion, I hope I'm allowed to post this.

So today I got in the debate about white people are the only people who can be racist. This is news to me. Last time I checked, Racism is defined as;

The belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.
~prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.

To me, that applies to ALL races. His rebuttle was in order to be racist, you have to have power and prejudice. Nowhere in any credible definition does that stand true. That is a redefined definition. With that logic, a continent such as Africa that has a population of 76% blacks who obviously have the power, could then be racist because the prerequisites were met, correct?

This isn't the first time I've heard someone throw out that only whites can be racist. If that were indeed the case, why would the definition be so broad and not specifically state white's in it? I don't mean for this to offend anyone by any means, I just would like to know others opinions on the topic. Please be respectful. Thanks.

It's the regressive SJWs of the world. In order to justify their hatred of white people, they just change the definition so they can say whatever they want without having to be racist.
