I'll take my chance with a senior citizen...they don't drive fast enough to total your car, nor would they hit and run your car (Intentionally)
HA!!!! In all honesty, I've taken a BUNCH of hit and runs where the old folks side swiped someone and sped off, backed into someone, checked the damage and left, etc. It happens ALL THE TIME! You just don't hear about it because it's probably not something you deal with.

I've had the younger drivers tell me, "He got out of the car saying he's not sticking around to wait for police and to just call the damn insurance." I've even had one elderly person tell the other driver, "I'm sorry I can't stick around, but I've got to get to BINGO." I swear....I was floored! Three nights ago, my district partner took a HNR and the elderly guy told the other driver he had better things to do than waste his time waitng for police. Well, after tracking him down, plenty of denial, and the guy finally understanding that we have no problem with arresting elderly folks too, he finally gave it up saying what happened and finally handed over his insurance. I've even had some elderly who didn't want to exchange info since they didn't want their insurance carrier to drop them. Seriously, some of these older folks I work around.....umph...
