What happened to putting new stuff onto the car and bringing it to the consumer? I have watched SEMA deteriorate on Speed then Velocity to the joke it is today. Mark my words, it will just be a matter of time before the general public are allowed in at a fee. Money is all anybody cares about today. The more, the better.

Agreed with 90% of your post.
Been going for years (I work a booth every year). They won't let public in. The CEO shared at a meeting that when asked 25% of vendors said they wouldn't attend if they let the public in. Itsy belief that eventually the SEMA ignited will "overlap" a certain portion of the show and the gen public will get a small sample of the show. It's already crowded enough, if general public was let in the fire Marshall would have to shut it down.
