True....what people forget to take into consideration are the costs it takes to r&d these engines!! The LT-1 was engineered primarily for the C7 and shared costs across those platforms using this power plant. The Voodoo/FPC was a ground up creation (for the most part) and those costs are spread across a platform that is only be supplied for one model ( at this point) one of which is a limited edition. In order to recoup costs they have to price it accordingly.
