The problems with these threads is that you get (some) members drawing analogies of ranch homes, believing a 2k sq. ft. ranch home made of stone with solid wood cabinets is better than a 1.5k sq. ft. ranch house made of the same materials but has a pool in the backyard (instead of applying an analogy directly to the discussion of Camaros). It’s subjective. There is no “right” or “wrong” nor "good" or "bad".
Then you've got people who appear to place a higher value on a stripped down / base V6 Camaro rather than an upgraded Cruze with most, if not all, the bells & whistles. Once again, it’s subjective. No “right” or “wrong”, "good or "bad".
Most everything is subjective. There is only what suits the individual.
Yet (as unfortunate as it may seem to some), we are afforded the privilege of continually being granted insight to the views of those whose credo is "bigger is better". (Mind you, there is nothing wrong with “bigger is better”, in, and of, itself). Problem(s) arise, however, when people espousing these beliefs take it upon themselves to instruct others of the dim view they take on their choice(s) for owning something (seemingly) less than they have, value, or for believing in something different than they do, regardless of the reasoning or rationale(s) behind those choices.
Looking down on others’, whose inability to afford something or whose beliefs or values don’t coincide with theirs, is bad enough, but expressing those views publicly is a display of intolerance and even ignorance (that is “subjective”, of course. You may be the more “reserved” member of your clan). By "belittling" others' choices, you suffocate the opportunity for discussion.
There is an old saying: “What you think is one thing. What you say is another.” In other words, think your part but keep your mouth shut lest you want to put your ignorance on display.
Point made. Then proven.
V6 & V8 owners, coupe or convertible, with or without: sunroof, RS, stripes or hash marks, additional badging, nav., backup camera, catch can, custom paint job or after market anything; enjoy your Camaro and allow those with more or less to enjoy their 5th Gen., too (without shitting on them for having something other than yours, for whatever reason)!
