BTW 68, now that you are a member of the Corvette Owners "club" I can tell you the secret. Don't let ANYONE else know, including Camaro5 members.
You can't get a ticket in a Corvette. It is just not possible.
Here is my proof.
Mrs. Number 3 and I were coming home from Florida, driving a C5. Coming out of warp speed in a construction zone in Florence Kentucky, we passed............wait not warp speed, that might sound as if I was speeding which is not the case...........so anyways we passed this police car who was just finishing up with a previous customer in the construction zone. Well he immediately throws on the lights and pulls me over. He says he doesn't know how fast I was going, but he just knew I was speeding. Well he goes back the car, runs the plate and comes back with a "souvenir" ticket........seriously. It basically thanked me for watching my speed or something like that. Which of course I always do.
So we get home (we drove straight through, which is easy to do in a Corvette but that's another story) and sleep for a while. We get up and decide we want to go get something to eat. So we hop in the Corvette and head up the road. Well sure enough there is a Police officer in the parking lot of the school. We both wave to him because (and seriously) we respect the service and duty of all of our police officers) and he responds by putting his flashers on and pulling us over. "Do you know what the speed limit is here?", he asks. "Why I believe the correct answer is 35, officer", says I. "It's 25", he responds, "do you know how fast you were going?" "Well actually, sir (and I do say the to police officers cuz I really do respect them) I have no idea". So he runs the plate, realizes we live in the area and asks me to watch my speed in the future, and sends us on our way.
So the only possible conclusions that come from being pulled over twice in 12 hours while driving a Corvette are:
Police Officers enjoy conversing with Corvette drivers.
They will always ask you to watch your speed so it is a good idea to do this
And finally they don't give tickets.
