A little prop rod (like what holds the hood up on certain cars) might work... that way the door is still closable, when you wish to close it.

Or, for a simpler, but less permanent solution (if you are still wanting to avoid adhesives or drilling), a piece of string tied to the bottom of the door, and the other end wrapped around the doorknob.
