Man, how things have changed. Up until the security fallout from 9/11, I'd carried a small pocketknife of some description everywhere since I was no more than ten (yup, even in grade school). Back then, it didn't matter to anybody. Now - not quite 60 years later - I have to be careful about places like my township's municipal building - if court or certain other meetings are in progress it's security portals and empty-your-pockets-into-the-basket time and it costs me a trip back to my car.
