my 65 Riviera project

I have spent the last 4 years rebuilding a 1965 Buick Riviera.
You can see the build at my personal website.

www.teamalini.com

I tracked every hour and every penny spent. It took me 739 hours and I was $3000 over the budget I allocated. I did everything myself, except the transmission. I outsourced that. I stripped it down, did all the suspension work (2 inch drop) replaced all bushings, ball joints. Did all the body work and painted it in my garage. It has flaws, but I did it myself in my garage
I rebuild the engine, did all the interior work (buying prestitched replacement vinyl, but I had to make the foam padding. I did the headliner, door panels, carpet. I reworked all the electrical. Installed a OEM style exhaust. I hadn cut the wood veneer on the dash and doors.
It still needs some work, but after four years and two days it moved under its own power for the first time in 14 years (sat in a dirt lot in storage for 10 years before I bought it)

You can see me pull it out of the garage on Saturday for the first time here
