I bought a 2015 Wrangler Sport about a year ago on a whim. I had just sold a couple of my cars and ordered a Porsche Macan which was going to take 4 to 5 months to arrive. One Saturday morning I was reading the paper over coffee and saw an add for the Jeep. The advertised price was very low for the base model and I thought I would take a look and if I liked it I would buy one to use while we wait for the Macan and sell it latter. Our local Jeep dealer just got one delivered and we took it for a test drive. Both my wife and I loved it and bought it on the spot. It is very basic; roll up windows, soft top, 6M. So different from the Porsche and 2SS and that is its' charm.
Great vehicle in the winter, turns on a dime, and topless fun on nice days. It has been very reliable only needing an oil change over the last year. We removed the rear seats and bought a cargo mat for the 4 door which fit perfectly in the back without the rear seats. So now it is a 2 seater. We have a blast in it which is why we kept it.
If this was going to be my only vehicle I would go up several trim levels and choose the unlimited (4 door) as it would ride better (longer wheel base) and have more creature comforts. To be honest, I'm not sure a Jeep Wrangler, regardless of trim level, would be my choice if I could only have one vehicle. I love it for what it is and how we use it, same as all my other vehicles.
