Well, at one time I could converse in Spanish. When you don't use a language, you tend to forget it.
I had French from 4th to 6th grade, Latin in 7th (I got an F), and then Spanish in 9th, 10th and 12th grade. I then took Spanish I several times over the years in various forms of re-taking college courses.
