iRacing is one of the few simulations that is decent these days. Games like NASCAR that were developed by Papyrus are also simulations.

Games like Need for Speed are to "simulations" the same way games like COD are to FPS games (because of respawning). When you can repeatedly bash other cars, walls and really suffer no consequences...it really just makes it an arcade driving game....much different from a simulator.

That being said, simulators are much more frustrating...especially if you don't have the right equipment (steering wheel, pedals). They are, however, more rewarding once you have the right setup.

I have 11 laps at Monza tonight. I need to break out of the 1:30 lap bracket, I could only qualify 12th. I think my problem is the Curva Grande I'm taking 135 mph through the turn. Drivers like Hill are touching 150. But hell, any less rear bar and I may as well unbolt it! Maybe I need to change ramp angles in the diff.
