I'm getting the LS3(manual) also and here is how I plan on doing it for the first 100 miles:
1. I'll get the engine nice and warm. Once I shift into second, I'll give it a hard accelaration(not flooring it) up to 5000 rpm's, let off and engine-brake back to original speed I shifted into 2nd gear in and then get back on it? (I'm not sure if you do this throughout all the gears. 2nd gear seems like the best gear to use so you're not getting into dangerous speeds)
2. I will change oil at 100 miles to a non-synthetic.
3. I will change oil at 1500 miles back to synthetic.
