I recently found out an old 1996 Impala SS that I owned has recently been registered in TN (FREE CarFax membership). I would love to buy it back.

How would I find this car? It's been 12 years since I sold it, and I've lost all the records of the sale. I thought I still had them (I have an Impala binder I kept!), but I don't.

Before I dump money into a PAID CarFax account, will that give me the owner's information? I am guessing NOT as there would be security issues with that.

How would you find a specific car if you had to? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
