Im new to the V8 world
I've mostly owned Japanese vehicles... always wanted to feel the torque from a v8. I used to own a Greddy twin turbo 350z and a GT35 upgraded turbo evo 8.
Anyways back to the point, this car current has its bearings shot and crank bent. The previous owner ran it with low oil levels and would rev it to his friends without warming it up. Regardless I got this car for a steal.
Here are a list of modds (that I am aware of at the moment):
- Vortech v7 supercharger kit
- 6.81 liter stroker kit (brand unknown for now)
- Kooks long tube headers
- 2.5 inch magnaflow exhaust
- ATI upgraded pulley
- Upgraded 6L80E transmission rated at 1000hp (not sure wat internals were used)
- KW coilover suspension kit
- Upgraded engine mounts (brand unknown for now)
- Front and rear sway bars (brand unknown for now)
- Strange ford 9" complete rear end including driveshaft
- Fesler 22" rims (rear tires are impossible to find)
- zl1 front bumper with upgraded phillips HID fogs
- Full vinyl wrap (car is originally white)
- Custom rear wing
- Custom rear widebody
- Custom taillights
I keep trying to think ... to be honest im not going to be exactly sure what the car has until we take it apart next week
Here is a list of parts that I have ordered:
- 408 LSX block
- Callies ultra I beam rods
- Callies dragonslayer Crankshaft
- Custom wiseco pistons (6.81 liter stroker)
- Zex 250 hp nitrous kit
That along with the other parts such as upgraded rocker arms, gasket kits, clevite main bearings etc...
The colour of the car? to be honest I like it ... some do some don't ... just wish it wasn't a vinyl to be honest ... I HATE THAT
I hope to run about 900hp daily ... when run with race gas, nitrous and more boost I believe it should hit the 1300 hp range (at motor)
The rims and tires are an issue... yes they look nice but grip and braking suckkkkkk .. so in about a month (when im not poor anymore) I will order a set of 17" welds and dot slicks
The previous owner stated that he had transmission heating problems after a few pulls... he already has a upgraded trans cooler ... any idea of how I can fix this issue?
Any input would be great guys ... im still new to the Camaro world so if you see anything I haven't mentioned or any tips aboutanything I would greatly appreciate it
