I bought an ex-Hertz Chrysler 200 convertible a couple of years ago and still have it. Only 13k miles when I bought it and it's been a nice trouble free car. A Camaro is probably more likely to be abused than a 200.
If it is being sold by a GM dealer it might have CPO status, which would be a plus. That was the case with my Chrysler. If the Camaro is a convertible it was probably driven for the sight-seeing experience instead of for the performance and could be a good buy.
