You are correct, they aren't light but other than carrying it around, I doubt you'd be shoulder firing any of them much.
The .308 (bought used) has such a nice trigger pull in it, I contacted the previous owner and asked him what trigger was in it and he said it was the stock LMT 2-stage. He said when he first pulled the trigger, he had to check to make sure it wasn't a Geissele in it. I put a gauge on it and it is 5-5.5# and very smooth. Not as smooth as the SSA-E in the 6.5 gun but as smooth a factory trigger I've used.
I've owned both for two months and haven't put any rounds through them yet. I keep "missing" my shooting outings because things keep interfering. I've acquired several different types of ammunition and also components to reload for both of them.
Another to consider is a LaRue OBR. A 3rd Special Forces Group sniper team just won an international sniper challenge using LaRue rifles.
