I am from Long Island and slated to pick up my Hyper Blue 2SS tomorrow. I'm trading in my 2016 Subaru STI Limited for it. I had a Hugger Orange SS new in 99 so i've been in the LS game. In fact i'm still in the top 50 stock internal 1/4 mile list on another forum all these years later (11.62@115mph) That car was a joint venture with me and my Dad back then (He has since passed). Car eventually had an LS2 put in it and on the factory rotating assembly and GM 5.3 heads went 9.87@135 motor only. I miss the Camaro and made a mistake buying the STI about 6 months ago so I took my lumps and jumped ship. 17 years later here I sit again excited in anticipation of a new Camaro. Hard to believe this 6th gen is a full second quicker down the strip.
The STI is a fine car handles and brakes like nobodys bussines stereo system is phenominal it simply lacks guts at 305hp with a 10 year old drivetrain. Worse is the fact its an AWD car so they put about 220 to the wheels. Looking forward to the knowledge from members here and will be shooting for an 11.99 second pass come fall at Atco it's an A8 I'm a stab n steer guy. Only options on top of the 2SS trim were ,Dual mode exhaust,moonroof and automatic.
