I'm not a professional dog trainer but if when he jumps on you you give him a toy he's going to think when he jumps its play time. I had a rotty that jumped a lot I got into the habit of every time he jumped I would bring my knee up after about a week he really cut back.

I have 2 boxers now very active dogs. What works the best is 2 walks a day 2-3 miles each. A tired puppy is a good puppy!!
