Just so everyone knows ... there may or may not be 2 sets of e-mail problems. The first is not getting
anything (which seems to be the case for some going back to May of last year & what this thread is originally about). It appears to primarily affect people who have been using personal or otherwise rare/uncommon e-mail addresses.
The second is a screwed up notification system detailed in another thread (
this one here). It popped up in late December. If you have stopped getting daily notices & only some instants, then this is your problem. To make it even worse ... it affects gmail, hotmail (which I use), and probably other e-mails as well thereby cancelling out the workaround that we came up with a few months ago.
I have no idea if these are separate or related issues. I don't have a clue what the underlying cause is, let alone how to fix it, and even if I did I can't do anything about it because all the back-end stuff is handled by administrators. I don't know when or if this stuff will be fixed. I don't know any satisfactory alternatives, because nothing that I've tried is anywhere near as good as what I'm used to doing.
I wish I could end this with something encouraging. But I can't.
