Mark, i've had 3 Shepards and they are one of the best dogs you'll ever own. Yes they are FULL of energy for the first few months, you just need to stay with it. It's A LOT of work but will be worth it down the road. They are great learners and will work for you or for them. What i mean by that is they are a Work Dog and that's what THEY love doing. They want to do things. You need to find what they like and what you want them to do. Again a lot of work for the first year but it will get easier. I miss my 2 boys. Cloten and Bradex. Wish i had time for another. Once i do, it will be another. Good luck brother and see you at the Track.
