In all reality, I'm kinda shocked. For a 2000 unit run you'd expect them to at least be able to keep the quality no different than the '09. After all they didn't really change much aside from sheet metal, engine, and a few others. No major body changes, no radical departures..
Camaro I could understand, it was a totally new car. The GT500, though is Ford's quasi-halo car. You don't see C6 vettes with rusty butts and miss-matched trim pieces. Well.. unless it was an IVER.

Not many serious mechanical issues being heard and I have had none. The car is a bullet proof beast that is a sheer joy to drive.
All of my problems are minor fit, trim and paint issues. The major amount of rust on the underside of the car is a disappointment to most GT500 owners. I am having all the rusty parts cleaned and painted as a lot of other guys have done on the 2007 thru 2009 models.
I love my car and even with these issues would never go back to a 2009 model.
