The iM has a very similar interior to the Corolla, and the Matrix was basically a Corolla hatchback or wagon, but it shared a platform with the Pontiac Vibe, which was phased out in 2010, when GM was phasing out both Pontiac and Saturn; the Matrix was discontinued for the 2014 model year.
My dad has an '05 Matrix XR with over 253K miles, and it is not doing real good. We are looking at replacements for it, but my uncle who owns a '15 Infiniti Q50, my cousin who just bought an Audi S3, and I are secretly looking at vehicles for my mom to replace her old '03 Tahoe LS she wants to have for the rest of her life (we are secretly looking at the 2016 Malibu).
We never looked or glanced at any Scion while we were buying. In the future, the iM might be renamed Matrix, but who knows about that. I only saw one iM on the road and one iA on the road, so in the six month period Scion is still going to be around, people should consider looking at them.
