To me, this sounds like an attempt to get people to buy Cadillacs who want a V8, but consider pushrod engines too archaic and crude to ever buy a car with them. They want something high tech and sophisticated ... regardless of whether or not that makes for a better engine. Such engines will almost certainly remain Cadillac exclusive -in order to elevate the brand beyond being just GM's luxury division.
Ok, so it's a lousy engine built unnecessarily complex and exclusively for snooty Cadillac buyers who don't know what they are looking at but know they want something different....lol...Good luck with that.
Sounds like a ridiculous strategy, but then again GM knows best. Can't wait to see what kind of a turkey they come up with for the Z/28!
