Hi! I'll try to help you out step by step. I presume you are simply trying to get photos from your phone to your computer.
Some notes:
1) Verizon apps suck. Try not to use them.
2) Samsung apps suck. Don't use them either.
3) Google/Android apps are generally the best. They are the easiest to use and easily allow you to access your stuff on your computer without needing to 'send' them to the computer. The 'cloud' is what makes the backbone of a lot of these 'apps' - you do something on the app and it pushes it to the computer. You do something on the computer and it pushes it to the app, etc.
My first question for you:
Do you have a GMAIL or GOOGLE account? This is the first step in fully utilizing Android and your Samsung SGS6.

Use that to create a Google account.
It will give you access to the 'Play Store' which is the 'App Store' for Android.

Also,
another way you can send your photos is by emailing them to yourself. You do this by finding the photo you want to email, find the "SHARE" button
and then select 'EMAIL' or 'GMAIL', and it will auto attach it for you.
