Street racing is completely stupid. I can say this because on more then one occation I have been a complete MORON. Luckily I have never injured anyone else while racing and I have never done it in an area that could have led to this type of incident. I was an idiot as an early 20's male with a fast car and no bills.
That being said, the morons were racing on WET ROADS.
Camaro's aren't known for their ability to keep the tires from breaking loose on dry roads, much less trying to keep them planted on a wet surface. I don't think either article mentioned the ages of the people that were destroyed along with the Camaro, but I think its safe to say they were fairly young drivers. I would hope that drivers of all ages would recognize that wet roads should be treated with more respect then this.
I feel for the parents that have to bury their childern and I hope they find the driver of the other car and he get's to answer for his part in their deaths. People just don't think before they mash the gas that "Murphy" is always lurking and they could be the next nominee for that "Darwin Award" for removing themselves from the gene pool.
