Hello! Long time lurker, first time poster.

Hello everybody. My name is Grant and I've been reading posts on the forum since I got my Camaro back in early 2014. Now that I have an account, I might as well introduce myself and my cars. Here we go...

I'm 20 and a full time college student. When I'm not in the classroom or at work, I'm usually doing something with cars. I do a lot of auto detailing and I have been restoring a Dodge Dart for about 5 years now. My Dart has been in the family since it was new and I'm the second owner, my grandpa being the first. This old Dodge is the reason why I got involved with cars. It was my birthright and when I started appreciating American muscle, it gave me something to tinker with. I painted it myself, built a 318 to replace the worn out 225 slant six, then earlier this year I built a 340 to replace the 318. I swapped the factory 3 speed manual for a 4 speed as well. Doing everything myself is very rewarding and I love being my own mechanic.

My Camaro is a 2014 1LS. Pretty much as base as a base model can get. As cheesy as it may sound, it was love at first sight. I loved the metallic silver paint with the stripes, the 6 speed manual was exactly what I wanted, and the price was right. I looked at a few other cars but nothing seemed to compare; I had to have the Camaro. I've put about 21,000 miles on it now and I still love the thing like I did when I got it new. I haven't done many mods but I have done a few. I've got a 12" Kicker in the trunk that's being pushed by a 1000w Kenwood amp. The stock exhaust has been ditched in favor of an MRT V2 axle-back. I hated the stock rubber shifter so it's been replaced by a Hurst short throw. Next mod on the list is a new alcantara steering wheel (probably ZL1..) and matching shifter boot. Over the course of the next few years I plan to upgrade a TON of stuff, inside and out. This summer I might swap my 3.27 gears for 3.91's but I haven't decided yet... Where does the modding end? Oh wait, that's right.... it doesn't...
