I see you're in AZ, the border patrol is hiring you may want to look into those guys. Congrats on the physical aspect of it. I'm not trying to sound like an A-hole but it'll probably come across that way. Your degree doesn't mean a thing in law enforcement. In my experience those people that go into it thinking just because the job doesn't require a degree and they have one they'll be smarter and better at it than those without a degree, have the hardest time. I had several classmates with degrees that bragged about them every chance they could. Several of them had trouble in the academy and most left law enforcement after a couple of years. The ones that never mentioned in their degrees seem to be the ones that are still around in the job. When you do make it to the academy and start your career I'd suggest not being the guy whom brags about having a degree and saying that you plan on become a supervisor right away because you have a degree. You'll come across as a know it all or that you feel better than those officers without a degree even if it's not the case. But you can push away officers with experience that would be willing to give you advice by annoying them with your degree.
