I use a Jr as well. Lots of aftermarket stuff that drains, so as soon as I pull into the garage I connect under the hood. I leave it connected all winter, summer only tires so she's in hibernation for several months.
A few months ago I left the inside lights on in my truck. Went out to start it, dead, nothing, no clicking no power whatsoever. Connected the Jr and four or five hours later it had enough juice to start.
But that was a one time thing, glad I had one, but I use it mainly on the car just to float the battery.
