I had both JR and Plus and neither would get my battery to full charge when the car was only a yr old, in fact they shut off after reaching their internal timer limit My car is kept in the driveway so it was a real pain having to remove the car cover in below freezing temps every few hrs to look under the hood to see what those silly lights were doing and try to figure out what they meant

I switched to a CTEK 4.2 amp tender and BAM all was good No guessing with the CTEK as it has separately labeled lights for each stage , so once it got Float mode I never had to check it again. It also has a Cold mode for introducing more volts in certain stages.

If your car is going to be kept outside I'd go with a CTEK. If inside then I guess you'd be OK with a Deltran but I'd go with the Plus as the JRs are more for motorcycle and small car batterys.
