LOL -- Don't work in a government building but when I was 17 I had a department store job and some guy tools in with a hand truck on the sales floor, straps up a big ole double-door fridge, and wheels out the side customer door, hell one of the managers even held the door for him.
It was only an hour later when our department manager got back from lunch did he ask, oh, who sold the Westinghouse. We all look at each other, no one claimed the sale. He asked where is it then, we said the delivery guy came and took it, he was wearing a Sears delivery guy work jacket.
Turns out he stole the jacket and the fridge. When the poor department manager told the store manager we figured one or more of us were getting fired, instead he said, really, you gotta be kidding me.
Our manager said no, according to everyone, he just came in and wheeled it out. The store manager then started to laugh, and said, man that takes some pretty big ba\\s, and laughed again.
Later I found out we had insurance, but I have to agree, that really took a part to go steal a 1200 buck fridge right off the floor in front of everyone. I asked the manager when I saw him later why he was not mad beside the insurance, he said, well sometimes you just have give a guy his dues.
