Broke down and got a windows 10 laptop. 8 hrs later not completely setup (email accounts printers bluetooth updates office install more updates sct drivers more updates etc) but I was able to deal with the SCT and GARMIN. Windows 7 was off my list before because you had to wipe the HD but now I have a backup it won't be a problem. Likely will do that for the older desktop and see how long I can keep it functional. I still think Microsoft should be stalked with flaming torches and pitchforks though...
