When most people think matte, they think dry carbon fiber.

Dry carbon fiber is typically a lighter and a more consistent weave patter with less imperfections. The process for producing dry carbon fiber costs a lot more, so be prepared to spend on it. Generally, dry carbon fiber finds applications in aerospace, aviation, and racecars, but not street cars with weight reduction goals. It's just not worth the cost over wet carbon fiber.
