Unfortunately, families can be like that. Been there, still doing that. I'm the one who moved away (job opportunities), and 45 years and change later I'm
still the one who does
all of the traveling when we do get together with any of the rest. Hell, my daughter picks up more from her generation courtesy of FB than I ever have by all other means from any of the older generations. Third-hand news by the time I hear it.
