Sorry, gonna have to call this a case of mistaken relativity, for the most part.
Don't forget that the Camaro is lower than many other vehicles. If you get out of a Yukon and into a Camaro, the vehicle behind you that you USED to look all of the way OVER, now looks like nothing but grill in your mirror... and headlights behind you that used to hit nothing much more than your rear bumper now seem to be pointed right at your mirror, reflecting beams of brilliant laser directly into your retinas.
This gives the impression that people are tailgating you.
I notice that when I'm in ANY lower sports car type vehicle, it SEEMS like people are on my ass... but, time it (count out your seconds from a landmark), and you will probably find, like I have, that there's not much difference in actual following distance from when you are driving your mom's '98 Aerostar.
My suggestion for the cure, if you STILL think people are tailgating you? Either drive much faster, or get out of the left lane!
