I don't have too much experience with the Challengers and Camaros. I do know tuning for the new Challengers like the Hellcat is very limited and still extremely new.
The 5.0 responds well to mods.
My 5.0 is making 443/388 with a rich tune on roughly 96 Octane (mixing 93/100) If I switched to E85 I can see my car putting down 450+ RWHP and 400 or so RWTQ consistently. I don't want to invest into Injectors and have to test the E85 at every station to make sure it is pure enough to run.
From what I've seen, Camaro's are super easy to tune and the best thing to do is a Cam swap with bolt-ons and supporting mods. Should put you very close to 500 RWHP if not over, depending on if you go Long Tubes or not.
