Significant Accomplishments:
03/06-Competed against 12 Missile Technicians on the USS Wyoming (Gold) for promotion to Second Class Petty Officer. Advanced to Second Class in the 98th percentile Navy wide.
07/07-Received commendation from a Vice Admiral for leadership, and managerial abilities, resulting in the safe and secure transfer of more than 20 ballistic missiles, and 16 guidance system replacements in six weeks.
Experience:
United States Navy USS Wyoming (SSBN 742 Gold), Kings Bay, GA
Trident Weapons System Technician: Responsible for the safe and secure removal and installation of more than 30 tactical closures, explosive detonator, and conventional weapon operations.
Preventative Maintenance Management: Conducted over 200 Preventative maintenance checks each quarter on a variety of electronic, mechanical, and environmental control systems. Utilized schematics, technical manuals, and appropriate test equipment to isolate system failures to lowest replaceable or repairable component.
Proactive Leader: Technical knowledge and reliable performance allowed him to be assigned repeatedly as the Petty Officer in Charge of several technical operations, including Inertial Measurement Unit and Electronic Assembly replacements. These events are normally assigned to more senior personnel.
