Problem Report & Question: 2015 Automatic Trans, HUD & DIC Failures

Sorry my first C7 post is not a good one. I owned a C5, C6, and now a C7 for a few days.

Problem Report & Question: 2015 Automatic Trans, HUD & DIC Failures:

Has anyone with a 2015 experienced these failures at under 500 miles?

1. HUD and DIC speed reading locking at a lower speed for minutes?

Problem description:
12:30 13 Aug 2015, the speed reading locked at 40 mph and the speedometer indicated I was going 55 mph. The HUD and DIC system shut off after a few minutes Once it came back on, the HUD/DIC and speedometer was matching. It did not repeat and no speeding tickets.

2. 8 speed automatic start shifting into 2nd gear so hard the wheel would spin a little with sudden lurching forward as the gear catches?

Problem description:
16:00 13 Aug 2015, I was pulling out of an intersection and nearly lost control with the unexpected hard shifting while turning the vehicle. This was going only into second gear shifts while in car was in touring mode. This issue was repeating in all driving modes. OnStar vehicle check did not indicate any problems and they recommended taking the car in for checks if I could safely drive.

Action Notes:
To limp back to the dealership, I would let off the gas pedal while the transmission shifted and made it safely there. I got the salesman to witness the shifting issue.

Both system issues 1 and 2 are Safety defect issues which could result in catastrophic accidents. I though other owners need situational awareness and/or maybe provide advice.

In additional to the dealership working on this, I contacted Chevy Corp customer service and opened up a case to replace the car.

Nearly a decade ago, I also went through the 2006 C6 defect issue with my car top's glue coming apart on the highway nearly flying off the car. This is another not so good day. My 2003 C5 ran great for 12 years with no major defects so I still have hope for the C7 health to get better or getting a repalcement.

Its been 41 hours since dropping off and no reports back on the root causes from the dealership's Corvette specialist. It is like having a friend in the hospital.

Any questions, comments, or concerns would be appreciated.

Thanks!
