End of June I was returning home from a dinner with my car guy friends. I had a green light, turning right. A cyclist going on the wrong side of the street (from my right side) ran the red light and hit my auto, his body bounced across my hood.

I will never forget his screams of pain. Thankfully, a car in back of me stayed to say I had a green light. Thankfully, an oncoming auto stopping had two off-duty nurses and they said I had the green light. I was not charged. Been in contact with my insurance company and they find me 0% at fault. However, $4,129 damage to my Camaro (hood had to be replaced) an I am out my $500 deductible.

Thankfully the cyclist that ran the red light and hit my auto fessed up it was his fault. I am thankful he had no more than a leg injury. As long as I live I will never forget that second when he bounced off my hood.

I have loved driving for more that 45 years. Now I am hesitant to drive. The Camaro has been repaired. Tomorrow my 1966 TBird conv. will be delivered from a restoration shop after months of details and great expense. I am now hesitant to drive since the cyclist hit my Camaro.
I'm sure that was frightening at first, then disbelief after. Get back up on that horse and ride.
