Welcome, you can also open an on-line brokerage account at like E-Trade, Scottrade, or even BofA and they have a ton of free "how-to" courses, with a very small deposit that you are not forced to invest, just gets you account open, usually under $500 will get you an account.
Then you can take the course, what-if, and when you are ready dabble a little, 10 share of this, 10 of that and get a feel for it, just don't churn (buy/sell) too much or the trading fees will eat any profit you make.
